I recently visited Very HQ for a bloggers event celebrating Diana Vickers summer collection. I love Very's celebrity collections so was really excited to see the invite pop up in my inbox!
I had a great afternoon looking at the new collection, we were treated to champagne and canapés including the most delicious mini red velvet cupcakes! I met lots of lovely bloggers including Joelle, Mary, Clare, Becca and Hannah.
Diana gave us an acoustic performance of her hit track 'Once' and 'Music To Make Boys Cry' from her new album set for release later this year.
I've often browsed Diana's collections on the Very website and love how she mixes vintage inspired style with the latest catwalk trends. Diana's DeeV SS12 collection features lots of bold colours and prints ideal for the season.
Diana told us how she was inspired by 60's prints, curtain style fabric patterns and bold fruit prints, a hot trend seen on the spring/summer catwalks. She picked out the radish print dress as one of her favourites from the new collection along with the snake print jeans.
I love the vintage vibe of the collection as seen in retro style polka dot midi dress. I love the polka dot pattern and the classic style of the dress. One of my favourite pieces from her new collection is the double layer lace top which is a purse friendly £23.00! Diana was wearing the top that day paired with the snake print jeans and nude heels.
I also adore the cute apple print tunic dress, stylish zipped playsuit and ruffled top which would look great styled with a summer skirt or shorts. I love the bright colours in the polka dot jumpsuit and the retro style geometric prints on the patterned shirt and tank top.
Diana spoke about her own personal fashion favourites citing Bridget Bardot as a style inspiration and told us how she would love to raid Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe (me too!) Her summer festival fashion essentials are some funky wellies and a bowler hat to add a touch of glam to your festival look!
It was great to chat with Diana about the collection. She was really friendly and easy to talk to and we chatted about a range of things including both being northern girls!
We also had chance to browse some of Very's other collections:
I loved the horse print design on this playsuit from Holly Willoughby's collection. The cute mesh prom dress would be perfect for a summer party and is something I could imagine seeing Holly snapped in!
I love Fearne Cotton's style and I love checking out her latest collections on Very! I really like the blue bird print dress and vintage floral dress with pointed collar is ideal for summer too.
Coleen's summer collection had a glamorous vibe with lots gorgeous dresses covered in beaded embellishments. I really liked the polka dot tunic top, it'd be great for work wear or styled with a pair of bright coloured jeans.
Very's Love Label collection featured lots of tropical prints. I'm a big fan of the current bold prints trend and loved the bright summer florals!
I had a great time discovering Diana's new collection and chatting with lots of lovely bloggers, thank you to Very for a fabulous afternoon!
