What They Wore... BRIT Awards

The annual BRIT awards were held in London on Tuesday night. The stars braved the cold for the red carpet

Florence Welch opted for one of her favourite designers, she showed off her newly dark hair against this nude coloured Alexander McQueen gown. This was the first of three McQueen outfits she appeared in throughout the evening. The raised skirt revealed her McQueen wedges. She accessorised with gold jewellery across her hands.

Adele opted for another black dress in keeping with her usual red carpet style. The Burberry floor length gown had sheer 3/4 length sleeves. She performed her hit 'Rolling In The Deep' and was awarded 'Best British Female' and 'Album Of The Year' for '21'. She looked glamorous with big bouffant hair and red lips.

Rihanna sparkled down the red carpet in a gold Givenchy Spring 2012 couture gown. The crystal dress was jewelled down the back and had a thigh high split and plunging neckline. She teamed the dress with matching Givenchy heels. She wore long brown leather gloves, a popular trend seen on the catwalk at the recent fashion weeks. She took home the BRIT for 'Best International Female.'

Jessie J wore a revealing fiery red Falguni & Shane Peacock fishtail gown. Floral embroidery was strategically positioned across the sheer dress to cover her modesty! She wore her hair in tight curls and accessorised with large gold earrings.

Nicole Scherzinger appeared in a Versace gown from their spring collection. I loved the studded detailing and the lemon colour is perfect for summer. She kept her long locks straight and sleek.

Fearne Cotton opted for a monochrome look in a white lace blouse with an embellished peter pan collar paired with a black mini skirt, both from Miu Miu. Her hair was sleekly styled in a side parting. I loved her vintage style bag.

  1. I really liked Holly Willoughby's outfit because it was classic and simple.

  2. I think Fearnes hair was atrocious, I watched the red carpet program before the actual awards and thought she looked awful.
Loved Rihannas dress, although her hair is gross at the moment, not too sure on the gloves either.
I think Jessie J's makeup was horrible too, it was far too heavy, she looked like a drag queen. Im 50/50 on her dress, I think the fact you can see her knickers makes it more trashy than classy.
Adele looked beautiful as always although her hair was a bit too 50's for my liking.
Just realised this comment is rather negative lol.

  5. I really loved Adele's whole look, and Fearne's but I didn't think Fearne was dressed up enough tbh, I though Rihanna looked rather hideous, do not understand her new look at the moment...

  6. I love Adele's look, I don't care that people seem to say she should get out of black dresses, they look fab on her! I thought Fearne looked lovely!

Didn't particularly like Rihanna's look to be honest but I'm less of a fan of her these days anyway.

  7. Rihanna's gloves ruined her whole outfit. It would have been gorgeous without them.
